Frequently asked questions

Yes, FMGE has currently introduced a Computer Based Examination (CBT) instead of paper and pencil test. This change in the examination process started from june, 2014 administration. Inspite of reading on a paper booklet and answering by using a pencil/pen to darken the ovals on answer sheet, candidates will have to read the questions on computer terminals and clicks on the correct answer at this time.

The main difference is observed on the presentation of the questions.

A demo test will be available on the NBE website http://www.fmge.nbe.gov.in for the candidates to get familiarized with the functionality and navigation of the actual Computer Based test.

No, a candidate will have to take the test on a pre-assigned computer at the test venue which is  selected by him/her  at the  registration & scheduling  time.

The FMGE is conducted twice a year i.e in the month of June and December. Based on the accessibility of the test centres, a notification is made on NBE website regarding  the dates for this examination.

No restriction is found regarding the number of attempts made by the applicant. Nevertheless, a candidate can make only an attempt in each testing workstation during the time of exam.
