TOEFL Overview
TOEFL, Test of English as a Foreign Language, measures the ability of one’s listening, reading, speaking and writing. It is one of the most recognized English language tests in the world.
All the colleges or universities where English is the medium of instruction, it is mandatory for students to take TOEFL. This examination is also used for immigration departments to issue residential and work visas, medical and licensing agencies for professional certification.

The TOEFL is computer based test conducted using the internet connection facility and hence its called TOEFL – iBT which is internet based test. The test lasts for about 4 and half hours which includes sessions like reading, listening, speaking and writing tasks. Each of the sections are scored out of 30. the overall TOFEL score will range from 0 to 120 and is calculated by
combining the to elf scores on each of the four sections.
TOEFL Fees
The fees of this examination is US $170.
In case of late registration, one may have to pay extra $35. In case of rescheduling the examination, one has to pay Us $60 and to reinstate a cancelled score costs US $20. TOFEL scores are valid till 2 years from the time you appear for examination.
